Jake was a long term member of the St James Animal Hospital and joined our staff with Dr. Star in 2001, even though he is no longer with us he will always remain in our hearts. He was born on the island of St Kitts in 1997. St Kitts is a small island in the West Indies and is well known for their exotic dog breeds, namely the Kittitian Monkey Hound of which Jake is a member. Kittitian Monkey Hounds are bred for climbing trees and hunting monkeys which are indigenous to St Kitts. In his spare time, Jake would enjoy sleeping, sleeping, sleeping, and begging for food when sleeping gets to be too tedious.
